The Workers
Healthcentre offers a comprehensive occupational health
and hygiene facility to industry and commerce including
the self-employed. This service is dedicated to employment
related problems and conditions.
These may include pre or post employment medicals
or checks which are required by particular employments.
The results of these medicals are recorded in personal
files for use by the organisation or individual.
In order to gain employment in certain areas,
workers are legally required to have had medical
examinations. Such workers include drivers, diver,
asbestos and confined spaces workers. The examination
results are recorded in a personal file. Regular
examinations and updates are available.
An individual who feels that their health has
been affected through work, can have a medical
examination carried out. The worker may have been
referred by their organisation, medical practitioner
or an insurance company.
Where the employer has a statutory obligation
to monitor employee health, or where the person
wishes to have this done privately, a range of
